iciHaiti - Miragoâne : Official visit of Japanese Ambassador to Sainte-Thérèse Hospital
Yoshiaki Hatta, the Japanese Ambassador to Haiti, made an official visit a few days ago to Sainte-Thérèse Hospital in Miragoâne (Dept. of the Nippes) and took the opportunity to make the official delivery of the "Medical Equipment Supply Project at the Hospital Sainte-Thérèse de Miragoâne" signed on March 27, 2014.

Executed as part of the Assistance Program in the form of Donations to Local Micro-Projects Contributing to Human Security (APL), the project has received funding of more than 121,000 US dollars (121,785) in order to make available and accessible for the better functioning of the Hospital, equipment such as: hospital beds, pediatric beds, cardiac monitors, operating tables, operating lights, anesthesia machines and various accessories. This lot of equipment made available to the hospital since 2014, enabled worthily meet the needs for basic health care of the community of Miragoâne.

The Japanese Embassy recalls that this project, like so many others, demonstrates Japan's commitment to support the strengthening of the basic health services system and expresses the solidarity of the Japanese people towards Haiti for strengthening its resilience and its development process.
