Thursday, April 12, Louverture Ostiné, the Coordinator of Departmental Environmental Directorates participated in the Departmental Directorate of Nippes, at the official inauguration ceremony of about thirty Environmental Agents for this department who were given the mission to be on the side of the population in order to educate them, train them, make them aware of the protection of the environment and also provide environmental monitoring.

This ceremony which took place in the presence of Dieumaitre Maurice, the Nippes Departmental Environment Director, of several personalities of the department was the opportunity for the Coordinator Ostiné to draw the Agents' attention to the civic and moral values that accompany this function. According to the Coordinator, the fact of engaging as an agent to defend the collective interest through the transfer of knowledge related to the protection of the environment, makes them, citizens committed to the well-being of all.

For his part Dieumaitre Maurice applauded this approach that will allow the Ministry of the Environment to be present in all communal sections through the deployment of these agents. He took the opportunity to remind new agents "to be a true role model within the population", because he says, "the best way to positively influence others is through exemplary actions and behaviors."
