iciHaiti - Agriculture : A Taiwanese delegation in the Northeast

A delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture accompanied by Taiwanese experts, visited the Agricultural Farm of Mérande to study the feasibility of setting up a Seed Center in the North-East.

Aware of the difficulties facing farmers in the Northeast to acquire quality seeds, Senator Jacques Sauveur Jean (PHTK) intends to make every effort to find an appropriate and sustainable solution. The Senator is convinced that the production and storage of seeds will promote the economic and food autonomy of farmers in the Northeast.

Recall that despite the agronomic potential of the Northeast, it is one of the poorest departments in Haiti.
