iciHaiti - Security : The riots made several dozen injured by bullets
According to Dr. Didié Hérold Louis of the National Ambulance Center (CAN), during the 3 days of riots against the rising price of fuel at the pump, the CAN transported urgently from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 July, more than 100 wounded, including 20 of them by bullets, mainly at the Hospital of the State University of Haiti (HUEH) and at the Peace Hospital in Delmas 33.

Dr. Didié Hérold Louis emphasized that the task of paramedics was particularly difficult, many having had to do the work under threats, noting that 4 ambulances have suffered damage during these 3 days of riots.

Moreover, the CAN formally denied the false information that suggested CAN ambulances had served as "private transport" to individuals from Port-au-Prince to the Dominican border.
