In a note dated 23 July, the Secretary General of the General Staff announces to the members of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H) on active service, in reserve and retired in particular and to the public in general, "the passing away of retired Colonel Jean Claude Delbeau, who died in Port-au-Prince on July 11 at the age of 81 years."

"[...] A brilliant jurist and ethnologist, Colonel Delbeau had a regular military career and was especially noted for his exceptional services in the Port-au-Prince Police, in the Legal Section of the Headquarters and to crown his career as Assistant Chief of Staff General G2 of the Armed Forces of Haiti.

To the members of Colonel Delbeau's family, his fellow students, members of the Haitian Armed Forces and his friends, the General Headquarters expresses its sincere condolences."
