On Sunday, a short, extremely violent meteorological episode, a kind of mini-tornado, crossed the frontier commune of Fonds-Verrettes (West) causing panic and causing considerable damage.

Fortunately, no deaths were reported, and only 3 were injured : a young man wounded during the collapse of a house and two other people who suffered various fractures.

27 houses were damaged to varying degrees and 7 others were totally destroyed.

The families victims whose homes were destroyed by the tornado, took refuge temporarily with relatives and face serious economic difficulties, hoping to receive assistance from the Government to help them out of this situation.
