iciHaiti - Diplomacy : New Ambassador of Spain in Haiti

By Royal Decree (Nº 879/2018) Pedro Sanz is appointed new Ambassador of Spain to the Republic of Haiti. He succeeds Manuel Lorenzo who has retired.

Pedro Sanz is holder of a license of Law and graduated in International Studies from the Diplomatic School (Madrid). He began his Diplomatic Career in February 1989 and held various positions, such as: Director for Foreigners and Refugees; Adviser to the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and for Latin America; Deputy Director General for the Protection of Spaniards Abroad of the Directorate of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Madrid, or the Spanish Embassies in Tegucigalpa (Honduras); Bogota (Colombia); Budapest (Hungary); Berlin (Germany); Beijing (China); Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Ambassador to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Pedro Sanz will arrive in Port-au-Prince mid-August.
