iciHaiti - Morne Casse : Inauguration of a solar installation for the Border Police base

Accredited US Ambassador to Haiti Michèle Jeanne Sison, went to Morne Casse in the North East, on the base of the Border Police (PoliFront) where she attended in the presence of Michel-Ange Gédéon, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Minujusth, at the inauguration of a new solar installation that will provide clean and renewable electricity at the base, where 110 PoliFront agents monitor the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
The opportunity for the Ambassador Sison to assess the impact of collaboration with IOM with the support of the US Dept of State INL in the deployment of the workforce of the PoliTour, IOM helps PoliFront's continued deployment "We look forward to expanding the PNH's cooperation with IOM at other border locations," said Ambassador Sison.
