Following several months of investigation, according to a judicial source, the investigating judge Jean Wilner Morin has charged for money laundering, Jean Anthony Nazaire ex-close guard of former President Jean Bertrand Aristide. Nazaire would have an important heritage including: 1 hotel, 4 properties, 10 vehicles and several bank accounts...

In addition, the Aristide Foundation (legal entity) as well as Toussaint Hilaire and Mirlande Libérus Pavert, two Foundation Managers, were also charged with "complicity in laundering assets".

In case of conviction, the Aristide Foundation risks closure and seizure.

The case file has not yet been sent to the Public Prosecutor's Office, but the Government Commissioner Ocnam Clamé Daméus of Port-au-Prince said he was ready to put the defendants on trial once the case in hand.
