Late Saturday afternoon, Simone God, the wife of the former World Boxing Council (WBC) World Heavyweight Champion, the Quebec boxer Adonis Stevenson (41 years old) of Haitian origin, placed under controlled sedation (artificial coma) after a traumatic brain injury following his knockout since December 1, 2018 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26282-haiti-flash-the-haitian-boxer-adonis-superman-at-the-hospital-in-critical-condition-update.html announced that Adonis is now awake and that he continues his fight, surrounded by his family, at the Hospital of the Child Jesus of the CHU of Quebec, without however specify when he came out of the coma.
A spokesman for the CHU de Québec, joined by AFP, said he was not authorized to confirm at the moment the information on the condition of the boxer.
The promoter Yvon Michel, will go to Quebec this Sunday to visit Adonis and talk to doctors to find out more.
