iciHaiti - Music: President Moïse paid tribute to the Father of Compas
On Thursday, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by his wife Martine, members of the Government, parliamentarians and cultural workers, participated in the Museum of the Haitian National Pantheon (MUPANAH), at the tribute evening organized by the Ministry of Culture in honor of the late Maestro Nemours Jean-Baptiste, to whom we owe the fatherhood of Compas Direct through the 70th anniversary of the Septentrional Orchestra and also commemorated the 50 years of Tabou Combo, considered as the legendary group of the Haitian music.
The President wanted by his presence, to congratulate these artists for their contribution to the enrichment of the national culture and to the radiance of the Haitian music beyond our borders.
