iciHaiti - Security : The hundred of Quebec tourists stranded in Haiti soon evacuated (UPDATE)
The 113 Quebec tourists (revised balance sheet) stuck in Haiti for a week, in the Coralia Holiday Club of the Royal Decameron Hotel, on the Côte des Arcadins (roads being impassable and dangerous), should be very soon be evacuated and take the path of return to Quebec, according to Quebec Prime Minister François Legault, who met with André Frenette the Canadian Ambassador to Haiti.

According to our information, a private security agency has been hired by Air Transat to protect passengers, which should be transported to Toussaint Louverture International Airport this Saturday, February 16th before noon and then take an Air Transat plane to Montreal where they should arrive in the afternoon (except unforeseen).

Update :
The helicopters will begin the transportation of Quebec tourists staying at the Royal Decameron Hotel from 9:00 am this Saturday, the operation must continue until at least 2:00 pm. An expressly chartered Air Transat aircraft will connect Port-au-Prince to Montreal.
