iciHaiti - Security : 13 police offciers killed and 15 others wounded by bullets since 1 January 2019
Wednesday Inspector Gary Desrosiers, deputy spokesman of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) in a review of operations of the PNH for the first three months of 2019 revealed that 13 police officers from various units of the PNH were killed by murderous bullets while 28 other law enforcement officers were wounded during the same period, including 15 by bullets.
In addition to this heavy toll, Garry Desrosiers made a positive observation of police operations for the first quarter, revealing that more than 500 individuals had been arrested, 379 were brought to justice, 7 individuals are accused of murder, 10 for attempted of murder, 5 for raping minors, 8 for illegal possession of firearms, 3 for arson and 24 for criminal conspiracy.
