On Tuesday, Cindy Kierscht, Deputy Under-Secretary of the United States for Haiti, Canada and the Caribbean who replaces Kenneth Merten, was received at the National Palace by President Jovenel Moïse on the possibilities of economic growth, the establishment of a national dialogue, and the state of planning of legislative and local elections scheduled for October 2019.
