iciHaiti - Politic : 3 US official visits since 1 month

In the space of a month, in a context of political crisis and deterioration of the socio-economic situation, Haiti received the visit of three American officials, all with the same mission : to encourage the national dialogue between the Haitians.
On Tuesday, Cindy Kierscht, Deputy Under-Secretary of the United States for Haiti, Canada and the Caribbean who replaces Kenneth Merten, was received at the National Palace by President Jovenel Moïse on the possibilities of economic growth, the establishment of a national dialogue, and the state of planning of legislative and local elections scheduled for October 2019.
Cindy Kierscht also met with the Presidents of the two Houses of Parliament https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27364-haiti-news-zapping.html to explain to them how a genuine and inclusive dialogue, leading to a Government transparent and responsible, can best meet the needs and aspirations of the Haitian people. She also met during her stay with representatives of several political parties and members of civil society,
