iciHaiti - Education : The Digicel Foundation inaugurates its 178th school

The Digicel Foundation inaugurated on April 29, the College Saint Louis Marie of Monfort in Delmas 31 in the West department. This is the 178th school infrastructure built by the Foundation since 2007 and the 32nd in the metropolitan area.
This school, run by the Compagnie de Marie, a religious congregation established in the area since 1999, built to earthquake-resistant standards, has 7 classrooms, an administrative block, a toilet block and a cafeteria and is able to accommodate 350 students of the fundamental third cycle.
"We are very excited to endow a new community, with a school, to allow students to be quieter about their safety and be in an environment conducive to learning," said Sophia Stransky, Executive Director of the Digicel Foundation.
