iciHaiti - Gonaïves : Businesses will close their doors for 2 days

The businessmen and businesswomen of the Gonaïves commune, who can not stand the growing insecurity and its negative consequences on the business sector, decided at the initiative of the Gonaïves business union to close the doors of their businesses, Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14, to denounce a situation that threatens the entire business sector in the upper Artibonite.
On Tuesday 14th, a peaceful march will start at 9am from Carrefour Basin to the city center. The women and businessmen, all dressed of white, intend to demand that the State assume its responsibilities and intervene in order to restore a sustainable and favorable climate for business and investment in the commune. They call on the population of Gonaïves to join this march so that security becomes a reality in the city of independence.
