iciHaiti - Justice : A German sentenced for child pornography in DR, arrested in Haiti
A 76-year-old German Heinrich Christlieb, aka "Sacha" sentenced in early April 2019 in Puerto Plata, to 20 years in prison for the use, production, distribution, sale, acquisition and intentional possession of child pornography ; released on bail and under judicial supervision, with a ban on leaving the country and withdrawing his travel documents, thwarting judicial surveillance and migration controls, fled illegally to Haiti last week.
Heinrich Christlieb, who was planning to travel to Paris, was arrested in Haiti shortly after his arrival, thanks to the rapid coordination between the Dominican Public Ministry and INTERPOL, while he was trying to obtain a new German passport to leave Haiti for Europe.
