Japan's Ambassador to Haiti Mitsuaki Mizuno received a visit this week from renowned Japanese artist Kensuke Miyazaki, initiator of the Over the Wall - world mural project, came in Haiti to decorate the walls of a hospital in Port-au-Prince, as part of its new project. So far Miyazaki has done wall painting projects in Kenya (2015), East Timor (2016), Ukraine (2017), Ecuador (2018) and he chose Haiti for this year.

He took this initiative to create a more cheerful and warm space for hospital patients through the ornament of the walls, with brightly colored and attractive designs and paintings.

Moreover, since the very foundation of the project being a collective work, the Japanese artist will integrate not only the children of the hospital but also the parents, doctors and staff to decorate the walls with the intention of creating human relationships beyond the different roles and positions of each.
