iciHaiti - Washington : Cocktail at the Embassy of Haiti...

Recently, the new Ambassador of Haiti to Washington Hervé H. Denis, organized a cocktail to welcome members of the Haitian Parliament in the US capital. The delegation was composed of the Deputy Caleb J. Desrameaux, the Deputy Guerda Benjamin Bellevue and the Deputy Abel Descollines. On this occasion, the Embassy invited key members of the Haitian community from various sectors to meet and dialogue with the delegation. Participants included religious leaders, designers and artists, entrepreneurs, professionals (doctors, teachers and lawyers) and other relevant members of the Haitian diaspora.
During the evening, members of Parliament's delegation shared their work, their successes and their difficulties, with the public and offered guests the opportunity to participate in the conversation through questions and answers. Discussions focused on issues such as diaspora engagement and investment, voting rights and processes, job creation, sustainable infrastructure development in Haiti, and education.
