As part of the celebration of IYD "International Youth Day" (August 12, 2019), the Ministry of Youth, in partnership with the youth associations of the metropolitan area, the United Nations Fund for Population (UNFPA) and UNICEF is organizing a series of activities on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 August :

Saturday, August 10, 2019 :

More than a hundred young people invited by the Ministry will participate in a day of reflections on the theme chosen this year by the United Nations "Transforming Education". In various workshops, the following sub-themes will be addressed:

- Gender violence;

- Education, leadership, self-esteem;

- sexual and reproductive health;

- New Technologies of Information and Communication.

Sunday, August 11, 2019 :

This second day will be devoted to socio-cultural and sporting activities organized at the Croix-des-Bouquets Ranch for several hundred young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods.

Official date of the YOG 2019, Edwing Charles, the Minister of Youth will gather at a meeting, the Youth Associations called to intervene on the resolutions of workshops held on Saturday, August 10, 2019.
