iciHaiti - Social : Good news, books on loan at «BiblioTapTap»
Good news, the "BiblioTapTap" Mobile Library (BTT) administered by the Knowledge and Freedom Foundation (FOKAL), will offer books on loan to its readers from September 2019.

Indeed, after a pilot period of two months experimentation, successful loans conducted at Kindergarten College Marie André (KCMA) at Fontamara 43, Sychar Adventist College (Fontamara 27) and Zéphyr Pierre Fréo College at Martissant 23, this service will extend, in addition to the schools mentioned above, to schools and colleges in the vicinity of the parking sites. Readers will be able to borrow books and bring them back on the "BiblioTapTap" route within a specified period of time.

The BTT has a collection of 3,049 books, including a thousand on the shelves with a regular rotation at the stock level and according to the demands of the readers.

This new service meets the need of young readers to spend more time with books.

The BTT, which offers reading and animation services in public spaces and schools, was initiated in 2012 by the French organization Bibliothèque Sans Frontières (BSF) and three Haitian partners : the FOKAL, the National Book Directorate and the National Library of Haiti.

The "BiblioTapTap" is now part of the network of 16 libraries across the country supported by FOKAL.
