iciHaiti - Taiwan : 33 Haitian fellows on the departure
Monday, the Embassy of Taiwan (Republic of China) in Haiti, confirmed that 33 Haitian scholarship holders, will continue their higher education in Taiwan this year.

The 33 scholarship recipients who have received a bachelor's or master's scholarship were selected under two separate scholarship programs, the "MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Program" offered by the Taiwan Government and the "Taiwan ICDF Higher Education Scholarship Program" offered by the Taiwanese International Cooperation Agency (ICDF)

The 24 Haitian beneficiaries of the MOFA scholarship program were selected during a process by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Haiti and the Embassy of Taiwan in Haiti. The 9 other students who benefited from Taiwan ICDF were selected jointly by the ICDF and the Taiwanese universities participating in this program.

Hsiao, Nai-cheng, the acting Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy, ​​thanked Jean Jude Piquant, the Cabinet Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representing Chancellor Bocchit Edmond, for having solemnly and warmly receiving the scholarship holders on August 26th. at the Ministry, before leaving for Taiwan.

In his intervention, Piquant encouraged fellows to succeed in their studies and to put their knowledge to the benefit of the motherland.

Hsiao, Nai-cheng, congratulated the Fellows and encouraged them to return to Haiti after graduation to share the knowledge they gained in Taiwan and help strengthen Haitian-Taiwanese relations.
