Following the torrential rains that fell on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 on the Department of the West accompanied by high winds that caused the death of at least 3 people https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28710-haiti-news-zapping.html, 13 of the 47 circuits (27%) of the Electricity of Haiti (EDH) grid that feed the metropolitan area, have suffered damage and stopped working since Friday explained Hervé Pierre-Louis, Director General of EDH.

Downtown, Route 9, Airport Road, Pétion-Ville, Croix-des-Bouquets, Black Mountain, Bourdon, and Carrefour-feuilles, among others, are the zones concerned.

Hervé Pierre-Louis said that 8 of the 13 damaged circuits have been repaired and that by Tuesday, September 10 the other 5 distribution channels will also be restored.

EDH invites its customers to dial 22 12 22 12 to report any anomaly in their area.
