Saturday at around 6:00 pm at Marin 24 (Croix-des-Bouquets), police inspector Hervé Mésidor was shot dead by unidentified individuals. The reasons for this assassination are unknown and an investigation is opened.

Hervé Mesidor was honored in December 2008 by the leaders of the Presidential Security Unit (USP) and the General Security Unit of the National Security Palace (USGPN) for his loyalty, dedication, and spirit of sacrifice after 10 years of professional service within this unit.
