According to the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) two children drowned, washed away by the raging waters that flooded 3,880 families in the commune of Ouanaminthe https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28870-haiti-news-zapping.html The most affected localities are : Gallard, Village des Oliviers, Cité man Youyou, Village Vertières, village La Remise, Tilorier and Sance. Still according to the DPC, 40 homes are badly damaged and 384 are slightly damaged. Significant damage is reported on road infrastructure including bridges on the Canari River, Jasa and small river. Moreover several kilometers of drainage channels are obstructed... Stored goods and items for sale, school equipment and supplies, cooking utensils and important documents are, among other things, losses recorded by families on the border town of the Northeast. Ferrier, Terrier-Rouge and Fort-Liberté were also affected by the floods of the Marion River. 90 families are directly affected and the losses in the agricultural sector are very important.
