Saturday in a statement, the departmental education authorities of Grand'Anse announced the reopening in Jérémie, of schools closed since 4 weeks due to anti-government demonstrations...
"[...] We inform the general public, schoolchildren, students and parents in particular, that agents of the National Police of Haiti will be present in the streets of downtown Jérémie to guarantee the safety of pupils, students and all citizens from Monday, October 14, 2010. Until further notice [...] We formally warn those who come to stir trouble to prevent the resumption of activities or even prevent officials from schools to reopen their doors, justice will take such necessary legal measures against all troublemakers [...]"
