iciHaiti - Floods : Aid distributions in the metropolitan area

Sunday morning, following recent floods in some areas of the metropolitan area caused by the heavy rains that hit the West Department on the night of October 17-18 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-29042-icihaiti-weather-partial-balance-of-floods-in-the-west-department.html the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) proceeded with the support of the communal committees, to the distribution hygiene kits, agricultural tools and first response equipment, particularly at Martissant, Cité Soleil, Delmas (Delmas 3, Delmas 40) and Carrefour.
In parallel with the actions of the Civil Protection, the municipalities undertook canal cleaning operations and the cleaning of alluvium and debris on the roadway and in the houses.
The DPC calls for vigilance the populations of these municipalities and other areas at risk of flooding, landslides and landslides and asks them to apply scrupulously the practical safety instructions in case of showers and thunderstorms.
