Four Haitian experts who took part in the scientific symposium on the islands, which took place last week in Brest (West) continue their stay in France with a second symposium on Marine Protected Areas organized in Biarritz (Southwest) by the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition (MTES) and the French Agency for Biodiversity.

The participation of these Haitian experts is part of a collective scientific expertise on small-scale fisheries in Haiti, conducted by the Research Institute for Development at the request of the Ministry of Agriculture and financed by the Inter-American Bank. Development (IDB).

The objective of this expertise is to provide the Ministry of Agriculture with strategic decision support on the issue of fisheries development in Haiti in all its components (production, processing, marketing, training...)
