iciHaiti - Crisis : «Kri Fanm Ayiti» launches a call to avoid the worst
Faced with the crisis that Haiti has been going through for nearly two months, "Kri Fanm Ayiti" (KRIFA), an organization working in the fight for the respect of human rights in Haiti, calls on "the various actors in society to respect the rights of every citizen at all times, even in moments of protest."

KRIFA vigorously condemns "all acts of violence perpetrated on the national territory" particularly in the metropolitan area including Martissant and Croix des Bossales. It "condemns with the utmost rigor assassinations, rapes, mass destruction of private and public property, not to mention the closure of some hospitals, courts and educational institutions that leads to the systematic violation of human rights."

The organization also deplores and condemns the fact that the informal sector, which is the main source of income for some families, is the main victim of the crisis.

KRIFA notes that women who have always been the mainstay of many Haitian families are victims of this unprecedented crisis and find themselves unable to attend to their occupation.

"Kri Fanm Ayiti" calls on all concerned to look into the chaotic situation faced by the country to prevent the worst in the coming days..."

Thus, in the name of respect for the democratic prescriptions that guarantee the right to the peaceful claim as well as the right to education, KRIFA calls all the actors of the Haitian society to make common front in the interest of the Nation.
