While in recent days, the communal market of Petit-Goâve is the target of attacks of violent hooded individuals, armed with machetes that terrorize the merchants and throw their goods on the ground, Friday, November 1, around 4:00 am, unidentified individuals set the market on fire...

City officials, young people from "Nan Persin" and other residents intervened quickly to extinguish the flames and prevent the spread of the fire.

Despite this intervention, trestle tables were destroyed by the flames as well as a container full of goods...

Many observers have condemned this criminal act, while several merchants hastened to move their goods to a safe place...
