Monday around 6:00 pm, a truck carrying goods to Fonds-des-Nègres was forced to stop on the national road #2 near Rue Benoît under the threat of young militants of this neighborhood who wanted to divert the truck and grab the load.

Refusing to obey his attackers the driver of the truck called for help his friend Acao Rilnor, the well-known activist and leader of the Bloc of the Democratic Opposition (BOD).

Quickly arrived at the scene Acao urged the youth to let the truck pass. One of the youths known as Mordecai became angry and attacked Acao wearing him 3 stab wounds.

Avoiding with his right arm the blade that was aimed at his head, Acao was repeatedly injured and drove to Notre Dame Hospital where his life is fortunately not in danger.
