The National Ambulance Center (CAN), an entity of the Ministry of Public Health created in 2012 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-4831-haiti-health-new-public-network-of-ambulance-to-respond-to-emergencies.html in order to provide the population with pre-hospital emergency care, gave us the balance of its interventions for the month of October 2019 for the departments of West, South-East, North, Northeast and Artibonite :

During the month of October the CAN took charge of : 467 obstetric emergencies, 111 road accidents, 125 chronic diseases (heart disease, AVP, Cancer, Diabetes, respiratory, renal diseases etc...) and 50 traumas.

In addition, the National Ambulance Center made 66 transfers and intervened in 5 cases of serious burns, 47 bullet wounds and 114 other miscellaneous cases.
