iciHaiti - Health : Population invited to undergo diabetes screening tests
As part of World Diabetes Day (November 14), the National Ambulance Center (CAN) invites people to undergo diabetes testing, healthy eating and exercise. The use of tobacco and alcohol is not recommended for health.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 442 million adults worldwide have diabetes, which is one in eleven people. This disease will be the seventh leading cause of death in the world in 2030.
Remember that diabetes is a disease that can cause multiple complications such as blindness, stroke, kidney failure or amputation.
