iciHaiti - Gold Cup 2021 : D-1 Play-offs, the Grenadiers will know their opponents

As part of the first day of the second round of the League of Nations of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) after the poor results in the League of Nations (4 match played 1 defeats and 3 draw) including the last Haiti - Costa Rica [1-1] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29300-haiti-news-zapping.html , our Grenadiers relegated to League B, have as an obligation to go through the play-offs for a possible qualification for the 16th Edition of the Gold Cup which will take place from July 2 to 25, 2021

The 12 countries that will play the play-offs are:

League B (the 4 second) :

Montserrat, Guyana, St. Vincent & the Grenadines and French Guiana;

League C (the 4 winners) :

Bahamas, Guadeloupe, Barbados and Guatemala

League A (the last 4) :

Haiti, Cuba, Trinidad & Tobago and Bermuda.

4 places will be in play in 2 stages, the first round in March and the final round in June in round-trip format. The 4 winners will get their qualifying tickets for the Gold Cup

Before the play-offs start, scheduled for March and June 2020, twelve countries already have their tickets for the 2021 Gold Cup. They are : Mexico, Costa Rica, United States, Canada, Curacao, Jamaica , Panama, Martinique, Suriname, El Salvador, Honduras and Grenada.

CONCACAF has announced that on December 11, starting at 7:00 pm in Miami, Florida, the first round of draws will be held. During this draw, the outgoing teams of League A who will start in the second round, will know their possible opponents.

This draw will be made from three pots. The Grenadiers who left the competition through the small door of League A, are paid into the

Pot A :

Haiti, Bermuda, Cuba and Trinidad and Tobago.

Pot B :

French Guiana, Guyana, Montserrat, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Pot C :

Bahamas, Barbados, Guadeloupe and Guatemala.

According to CONCACAF, the draw procedure is as follows:

A team of the pot C will be chosen at random and placed for the match number 1, same case for the 3 other teams of the League C which will complete the locker of the matches 2, 3, and 4 and will have as opponent in the next March the League B teams in the first round.

As for pot A, the first drawn team will face the winner of match number one, the second team will face the winner of match number two, and so on for the other two teams.
