As part of its Christmas promotion “Souke Li”, the telephone company Digicel announces that the winner of the Regional Grand Prize of 20,000 US dollars (± 1,839,600 Gourdes), in which several million customers from the 32 markets served by Digicel participated the Caribbean and the Pacific, as won by Emerson, a 20-year-old Haitian football fan from the West Department of Haiti.

“I was surprised to learn that I had earned this money. It was the third time that I participated in the “Souke Li” promotion and I did not expect to win such a large sum of money just by playing! I couldn’t believe it until the Digicel representative asked me for information to start the process so I could get the money, ”said the lucky winner on December 30.

Emerson says he doesn't yet know what he's going to do with such a large sum. For the moment he plans to use part of it to start a small business in his neighborhood, continue his studies and make some donations "I want to share with my family and my friends this chance that came to me from heaven".
