Thursday January 16 around 8:00 pm, a public transport vehicle, coming from Port-au-Prince which went to Fonds-des-Nègres was the target of shootings by 3 young people circulating on motorbike at the foot of Morne Tapion a few meters from "Dlo rele" on the National Road #2.

Driver Jean Joseph Moïse was hit by a bullet and received treatment at Notre-Dame Hospital in Petit-Goâve.

A merchant denounced at the microphone of Radio Preference FM the resurgence of insecurity on RN #2 from Tapion to 2nd Plaine, emphasizing that in the morning, bandits continually ransom public transport trucks. She calls for the police to step up to stop the attacks.

Recall that recently, a deputy of the Government Commissioner at the Court of Appeal of Port-au-Prince had been attacked by armed men at Morne Tapion not far from the crossroads of Vallue.
