The Center for Observation and Operations on Maritime Data (CODOMAR) [National Tsunami Warning Center at SEMANAH] received a donation of equipment thanks to the “Haiti Emergency Response Funds” project, led by Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAI) and the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA).

At the same time, brigadiers of civil protection in Port-au-Prince received their certificates after two days of training and awareness of the risks of Tsunami. These 40 people, members of the civil protection structures of the Municipality of Port-au-Prince (CCPC, CLPC, EIC, Brigades), community leaders in the districts of Martissant, Haut Turgeau, Carrefour-Feuilles, took part in this training of PADF with the interventions of engineer Claude Prepetit of the Bureau of Mines and Energy (BME) and engineer Gérard Metayer, of the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH).
