Members of the Specialized Land Border Security Corps (Cesfront), under the supervision of Colonel José Manuel Durán Infante, Director General of Cesfront, intercepted within hours during simultaneous operations in the border area at Dajabón, Elías Piña, Jimaní and Pedernales, 806 Haitians who were trying to enter Dominican territory illegally.

In addition, during these operations, Cesfront seized several contraband goods from Haiti, in particular : 4.5 kg of narcotic drug treated as marijuana, 1.8 tonnes of garlic, 374 cartons of 10 packs of cigarettes, three 25kg bags of sugar and 6 bags of charcoal.
