For this 2nd Sunday of pre-carnival activities, the Civil Protection unit of Port-au-Prince, through its advanced medical posts treated 8 asthma attacks, a bullet wound on the wrist, a fracture of shoulder and one in the leg, 3 lacerations requiring sutures and 2 gunshot wounds. In addition the firefighters of the Town hall saved a person fallen in a sewer.

The Municipal Administration of Port-au-Prince salutes all the DJs and carnivalists who took part in this 2nd Sunday of pre-carnival festivities and more particularly the very noted presence of the PNH, who ensured calm and security, agents of the Fire Service and those of the Civil Protection of the Town Hall of Port-au-Prince.

The Municipal Administration reminds Carnivalists that on the course is prohibited :

• The carrying of firearms;

• The use of sharp weapons (knife, machete) and blunt weapons (stones etc ...);

• The sale and consumption of beverages in glass containers;

• The circulation of any unauthorized vehicle within the internal perimeter.
