The past week at the premises of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), in the presence, among others, of Charles Ernest Chatelier, Director General of FAES, of Bocchit Edmond, Minister of Foreign Affairs, of Bang-Zyh Liu, the Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) accredited in Haiti and FAES executives, Taiwan has handed to the Haitian Government via FAES, a donation of 2,200 metric tonnes of rice worth 9.2 million US dollars.

In his speech, Charles Ernest Chatelier thanked the Taiwanese Government solemnly for the materialization of the donation of these 2,200 metric tonnes of rice arrived in Port-au-Prince between December 26, 2019 and January 7, 2020 in 110 containers.
