Garnel Michel Coordinator of the Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services to Stop Accidents (STOP-Accidents), informs us that from February 4 to 9, 2020, 34 road accidents on the national territory (+25.9% compared to the previous week) hhttps://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-29936-icihaiti-security-27-accidents-at-least-65-victims.html made at least 82 victims (+26%) : 11 dead (+266%) and 71 injured (+14.5%) including several seriously.

Meyotte, Fonds Parisien, Quartier Morin, Peredo, Canaan, Nazon, Plaisance, Malpasse, Carrefour, Lizon, Petit-Goâve, among others, are the main communes and areas where these accidents have been recorded.

Recall that this weekly assessment was carried out in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to a lack of STOP-Accident means, it is unable to monitor the state of health of the injured, some of whom die from their injuries and are not counted.
