iciHaiti - Security : Former Lavalas deputy Sinal Bertrand kidnapped then released against ransom

Thursday evening, the former Deputy for Port Salut, Sinal Bertrand (Fanmi Lavalas) was kidnapped by unidentified individuals between Delmas 65 and 67, confirmed his former colleague the ex-deputy Manès Louis.

The kidnappers demanded a large ransom for his release.

After being sequestered just over 24 hours, Sinal Bertrand was finally released on Friday evening around 9:00 p.m. by his captors, after paying a ransom of 40,000 US dollars according to our sources. Joseph Manès Louis confirmed this release.
