Visiting the Lycée Jean-Baptiste Pointe du Sable, in Saint-Marc, the French Ambassador accredited to Haiti José Gomez handed to Michel G. Deschodt, Director of the Lycée, the "Label France Éducation" certificate.

Note that the Lycée Jean-Baptiste Pointe du Sable is the first school in Haiti to obtain this Label, which recognizes the excellence of its plurilingual education provided to its 400 students.

Created in 2012, the France Education Label is awarded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs to French-speaking bilingual courses of excellence offering enhanced teaching of the French language and at least one non-linguistic discipline in French, in accordance the official program of the host country.
