iciHaiti - Carrefour : Residents oppose to the installation of a Center for the Covid-19' victims

Thursday, a tense situation reigned in Arcachon 32 (commune of Carrefour) where residents oppose the establishment of a Center for the care of victims of Covid 19 in the referral hospital Dr. Raoul Pierre-Louis.
Protesters erected barricades of burning tires near the hospital, which paralyzed business and traffic, demanding responsible health authorities place the center in a remote area. Sign that the messages of awareness and information from the Government still have a lot to do to prevent psychosis from spreading fueled by ignorance of the Covid-19's mode of transmission.
Protesters quickly dispersed thanks to the intervention of the police and road workers who quickly cleared the streets of tires and other waste clogging the road. Protesters threaten to take back the streets if the health authorities do not follow up on their demand.
