iciHaiti - Tourism : See the Covid-19 as an opportunity !

Myriam Jean, the Minister of Tourism, in a press conference declared "The Covid-19 has serious repercussions among others on the balance of payments, job creation, the exchange rate, purchasing power, creation wealth," and spoke of the impact of the coronavirus on the country, recalling that in 2016 the tourism sector had reported 511 million dollars.
Minister Jean highlighted the need to consider the coronavirus, not as a misfortune, but preferably as an opportunity as the Chinese say, to develop the tourism sector in Haiti, insisting that Haitians are committed to recreating a positive image of the country internationally...
In addition, she indicated that her Ministry together with the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Youth was working on an information and awareness campaign with Haitian youth in order to better protect the tourist sites...
