Message from Lealy Condé : "Dear compatriots and friends, We are at a very important time of the year since it is the time to honor ancestral values within the framework of a Christian tradition which has become ours. Easter Sunday is, every year, a very special Sunday for us Haitians because it marks the end of a dark period of abstinence. It is as if a whole new sun is rising over all of our communities. Indeed, this time of the year is among the most significant for us Christians. It is a time of fervent prayers and intense reflections. We cannot prevent ourself to think of God's love for mankind. We know that despite our imperfections, the architect of the universe loved us so much that he agreed to submit his son Jesus Christ to humiliation, physical suffering and death for our salvation. It is this great love that we celebrate on Easter Sunday with the resurrection of Jesus. This great day invites us to love our neighbors and, above all, to forgive them because we, too, need forgiveness.
