iciHaiti - Petit-Goâve : Release of 7 prisoners
As part of the fight against the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus and against prolonged pre-trial detention, the Petit-Goâve Prosecutor's Office ordered the release of 7 prisoners who have been tried in the correctional system.

After a careful study of several files, Me Jean Emmanuel René, Government Commissioner of the Jurisdiction of Petit-Goâve, proceeded to the release of 7 detainees who had almost completed their sentence. It remained only one or two months left to serve, said the head of the park, recalling that this was one of the measures taken by the government.

In addition, Me Jean Emmanuel René, took care to specify that the individuals convicted for their involvement in acts of abduction, murder, crime are not affected by this liberation measure.

The Commissioner reiterated his determination to combat prolonged pretrial detention at the regional level and recalled that the police will crack down on all those who break the law.
