Garnel Michel Coordinator of the Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services to Stop Accidents (STOP-Accidents), informs us that from April 27 to May 3, 32 road accidents on the national territory made at least 81 victims : 13 dead (half of whom are women) and 68 injured, including several seriously.

Pignon, Aquin, Marmont (Hinche), Morne Sal (St-Michel), Léogane, route 9, Pèlerin 3 (route de Kenscoff), Ravine Gros-Morne, Lamentin 54, Gressier, Petit-Goâve, Nazon among others, are the main municipalities and areas where these accidents were recorded.

Recall that this weekly assessment was carried out in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to a lack of STOP-Accident means, it is unable to monitor the state of health of the injured, some of whom die from their injuries and are not counted.

STOP-Accidents, reiterates its call for caution on our roads while continuing to ask the authorities concerned to take measures to reduce the risk of accidents on public roads and better behavior of drivers on the roads.
