The American Embassy announces that Spirit Airlines has been authorized to carry out a new repatriation "ferry flight" from Port-au-Prince to Fort Lauderdale in the United States on Thursday May 14, 2020.

American citizens who wish to take this flight should do it very quickly.

UPDATE 05/03/2020 2pm - According to the Spirit Airlines website (https://www.spirit.com/), the May 14th flight from Port-au-Prince is sold out. Please understand that flights to the United States are approved by the Government of Haiti on a case-by-case basis, have limited seating, and often sell out within 24 hours. Please take this information into account when making travel plans, especially if you are not in Port-au-Prince. When a commercial airline is granted authorization to operate a flight from Haiti to the United States, the U.S. Embassy will alert the U.S. citizen community as quickly as possible through the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).
