The outgoing commissioner, Julbert Conseillant, provided wise advice to Charles Maunaude and urged him to work, without neglecting anyone, with all sectors of the community in order to maintain a climate of sustainable security in Petit-Goâve. In his speech, the new Commissioner said "It is with emotion that I take up my new position at the Petit-Goâve police station. The Commissioner is the first responsible and cannot work without the cooperation of the police offciers, local authorities, the community and notables. We are at their Service, we have come to work for them and with them. We cannot work for their benefit without their support because their collaboration and their information are, for us, very important so that we can move forward. My phone number will be known to everyone. I am available 24 hours a day, day and night because I will be available to work for the benefit of the community."
